Law of attraction

My friend knows I have not been feeling good. Husband lost his job, no unemployment for him and I have not retained any clients. She sent this to my Twitter account and I just found it so true. I hope you enjoy it.

GAMA Senior Consulting LLC

I met two great ladies from this agency. Marieta Vockel is the President and Gabriela Istrate is the Executive Director. They know their business and do it well. I know I will enjoy working with them. They are compassionate and knowledgeable about assisted living home placements and understand the senior's medical and psycho-social needs.

Rectocele

I was a health fair last week and met 2 doctors that deal with colons. Not a pretty subject but the information I received was very informative. This particular problem deals with women; weakening of the pelvic support structures and thinning of the rectovaginal septum.

Seeing your gynecologist is probably the best way to find out more about this problem.

Today is about life

My friend's daughter is having a baby shower. She is expecting twins. Per the National Center for Health Statistics released this year: the 2006 twin birth rate remained unchanged from 2005, at about 3 twin births per every 100 births.

In 2006, Wednesday was the most common day to deliver; since 1990, the most common day had been Tuesday. August was the month in which the most births occurred in 2006.

Widowhood

Losing a spouse is so devastating. I met a widow today and you would not recognize her from 8 months ago when she lost her husband. I asked her how long they had been married and she stated 50 years, ...days and so many hours. She stopped eating, seeing friends and wanted to sleep herself away. It was only because she got so sick and ended up in the hospital that she is asking for help.

One of the many things I have learned from working with seniors is, don't wait until it is too late to tell someone you love them. It doesn't matter how old you are or what circumstances you are in. Life passes you by and before you know it, it is over.

Prepare your pre-need plans ahead of time and let your loved one know your wishes. As for me, I plan to donate my body to science but that is a whole other story.

Alzheimer's Disease

Did you know there are an estimated 5.3 million Americans with Alzheimer's? An estimated 70,000 victims live in Maricopa county. How many do you know and think they should be getting help by getting home health care or other type of medical assistance? Valley of the Sun Medicaid Planning can answer those questions.
